what brand of car service/repair manual is the best?
i have very little knowledge of autos and was wondering what service manual would be the easiest to interpret for a rookie. is there is one with more pictures than others? any feedback would help
THE best? Undoubtedly, the factory published TSM's ( Technical Service Manuals ), which are year and model specific. You can't GET any more detailed than those are, as they are used by the dealerships themselves. I've never heard of Bentleys, they're not made by the auto manufacturers themselves, and I've never seen a domestic USA car maker have those, personally. The TSMs are expensive, but they are, in my opinion, the best, most detailed you can find for your model car. They'll cost you dearly, but be worth it, if you truly want a REPAIR manual for your car. All the others just gloss over procedures as if you already know how to do them. They're pretty useless in some cases. Anyway, about $60-100 for a TSM at a dealership. You'd have to order one, they don't stock them.
